Fans are always treated to a fun, exciting game whenever these two teams play each other!  Belmont Rivals!  And this game did not disappoint! 

Belmont police were led by solid pitching by Savanna Brunelle!  2 innings pitched, 4 strikeouts!  The entire team played great defense not allowing a run while Savanna was on the mound!  Renee Fleck and Jasmin Clairmont played the corners extremely well!   Caitlyn Keville also assisted with a play at second.

The best play of the night has to go Savanna Brunelle.  After her night of pitching, she played the last inning in centerfield.  The first ball hit in the bottom of the 5^th inning was a line drive up the middle.  Savanna fielded it and immediately made the throw to first!  Jasmin Clairmont scooped up the throw to get the runner out! 

Offensively, Belmont players showed their patience at the plate – forcing 11 walks!  But don’t let that fool you – they definitely didn’t stand in the box with their bats on their shoulders.  The team had 21 hits on the night! 

Savanna continued her amazing night by hitting a three run homerun in the top of the third inning – she was a triple short of hitting for the cycle.  Cynthia Freelove-Murray went 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored.  Cheyanne Carey, Bryttany Hart, Karlyn Brown, Sydney Perry and Jasmin Clairmont each went 2 for 2 with two singles each and a walk each.

Belmont Police took the season series 2 games to 1!    Thank you Canterbury Plumbing & Heating Players, Coaches and Fans for a great season!
