Belmont PD vs. Piches

Great pitching and solid defense were the reason Belmont Police won this game!  Renee Fleck and Cynthia Freelove-Murray not only pitched well (striking out 3 and not allowing a hit in their innings of work), but combined to make or assist 5 defensive outs!!!  Hayleigh Ford caught a great game behind the plate!  Hayleigh had an assist when Cynthia fielded a groundball, tossed it to her at home to get the lead runner on Piche’s closest attempt to score!  

Offensively, every Belmont Police player contributed!  The entire team got at least one hit while 9 of the 11 players had a multi-hit game!  Renee Fleck continued with her hot bat, hitting a 3-run       home run in her first at bat of the game.  Cynthia Freelove-Murray joined in the fun and hit a home run in the top of the 3^rd inning to put the game away!  Cori Heimlich and Sydney Perry were also on fire going 4 for 4 while scoring 2 runs!  

Another great effort by all the players!
